Lola graced the Tod's Spring Summer 2013 press presentation wearing this lovely Anne Valerie Hash deconstructed jacket. Acclaimed French Haute Couture designer Anne Valerie Hash shows twice a year in Paris and an alumnus of the prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. I have been following her amazing work for quite some time so it was love at first sight when I found this deconstructed jacket. I knew right away that this would be perfect for Lola A. I love its deconstructed raw finish. It certainly adds character to the jacket. And the pattern is absolutely immaculate. Definitely a conversation piece!

ANN DEM

Ann Demeulemeester is one of the few fashion designers that both my Mom and I have been following for years now. Known for her dark and romantic aesthetic, the successful Belgian avant-garde designer is one of the members of the highly revered Antwerp Six which also includes Dries Van Noten, Walter Van Beirendonck, Dirk Bikkembergs, Marina Yee and Dirk Van Saene. Without a doubt, Ann Dem has always been our favorite among the bunch. And it's pretty obvious why we adore her to pieces.

BAO BAO

Lola A is currently obsessed with her Issey Miyake Bao Bao tote. She has been practically using it almost everyday since her birthday a couple of weeks ago. My dear friend Austeen gave it to her. I love how you can transform this geometric obra into different shapes to best suit your needs. So far, we have managed to morph it into a clutch. I'm sure both my Mom and I will discover something radical and innovative while playing with it. Only time and patience can tell... So let the creative juices flow to our system...

ARM CANDY

After two long months, Lola A finally got her covetable candy clutch from the Maison Martin Margiela x H&M collab. Special shout-out to my drop dead gorge friend Ella Bella from Stockholm for literally fist-fighting screaming blondes just to get a hold of this adorable clutch. This is actually a re-edition of the covetable candy clutch from the Spring Summer 2010 collection. Mom is also donning today two of her latest Yohji acquisitions - an oversized white button-down with intersecting collars from the Pour Homme collection and a pair of high-waisted baggy trousers from the Y's Red Label collection. I totally love the strong contrast of her masculine get-up and her feminine accessories. It just somehow works flawlessly and looks pretty spot on!

SUPERSIZE BUTTON-DOWN

For a change of ambiance, Mom and I randomly chose this creepy abandoned house located in our village. I like the strong contrast of Mom's outfit and the background. Black and white. Vintage and modern. Deconstructed and structured. Chaos and order. Lots of things flashed into my mind while taking these photos. But there's only one thing I can vividly recall - the lovely Y's oversized button-down Mom wore! It is shapeless but somehow fits her like a dream!

Lola A goes white on white today mixing different designers from the four corners of the universe - Rick Owens from the US, Cora Kemperman from the Netherlands, Issey Miyake from Japan and of course our very own Herbert Custodio (mareng Herbert ka-level)!

MODERN DAY ANNIE HALL

Lola A channels her inner Diane Keaton dandy today. Woody Allen's American romantic comedy hit Annie Hall definitely paved the way for the whole androgynous look. No wonder it's one of Lola A's favorite flicks! If you haven't seen it look it up on torrent ASAP for some gender-bending outfit inspiration.

HACHED

Lola A was stressing out big time for the past few days because she couldn't decide what to wear to her bff's son's wedding. Obviously, we're not the biggest fans of red-carpet gowns and matronly dresses! So instead of wearing a boring conventional gown Lola A opted for this beautiful Hache drapey dress which was a gift from moi. Then, she paired it with a structured pleated skirt and wedges for an edgier look. And of course, she finished the look with Miadore's Lisette No.3 from The New Saint" collection.

LA CHEMISE BLANCHE

Lola A is currently obsessed with white button-downs. For her post-birthday lunch at Mamou Powerplant she wore this crisp and pristine white button-down from Comme des Garcons Shirt. Obviously another men's shirt but Lola A softens it up by wearing red YSL lipstick and her favorite Kelly handbag. Very simple yet uber chic! That's how Lola A rolls!
