PAINT THE TOWN ROUGE

Of course, a trip to San Francisco wouldn't be complete without a visit to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. The weather was perfect that day, though, a bit windy as usual. Thankfully, Lola A had her trusty long coat to keep her warm while exploring the lovely sights in NorCal's most scenic and most visited landmark! 

Without a doubt, Lola A's vivid red brocade trousers brought the sun out! Check out a few snaps from Lola A's SanFo afternoon rendezvous!

BIRTHDAY BLUES

Lola goes corporate casual wearing a cropped button-down and leather tie ensemble paired with baggy blue denims on her birthday. It's a simple and chic ensemble with a twist. Lola A pays close attention to little details like texture and cut. Paired correctly and you get a nice combo. Like what they say wine gets better with age so does style.

ABSTRACT

It's been awhile since we have seen any posts from Lola A. She has been extremely busy lately, hence, the absence of her OOTD posts. Anyway, in the next following posts, Lola A will be sharing her OOTDs during her recent trip to San Francisco and Los Angeles.

To commence her Californication OOTD series, here she is wearing a trippy abstract print pullover courtesy of the Zara blow-out sale last summer! Paired it with her trusty Giordano Ladies trousers and her favorite Church's brogues.

Lola A pairs her studded white Givenchy Nightingale with a muted black layered ensemble.

NOIR ET MARRON

Lola A goes noir et marron mixing a fabulous vintage ruffled boat neck blouse from Hubert de Givenchy and a brandless irregularly-shaped skirt with her chocolate brown tote from Celine. Both Lola A and JP have a penchant for collecting archive pieces from their favorite designers such as this beautiful vintage Givenchy blouse. The idea of having something that has a history absolutely excites them. And of course you cannot ignore its exceptional quality and timeless design. No wonder even some of the most prolific designers of our time rely on them for some much needed inspiration.

BAO BAO

Lola A is currently obsessed with her Issey Miyake Bao Bao tote. She has been practically using it almost everyday since her birthday a couple of weeks ago. My dear friend Austeen gave it to her. I love how you can transform this geometric obra into different shapes to best suit your needs. So far, we have managed to morph it into a clutch. I'm sure both my Mom and I will discover something radical and innovative while playing with it. Only time and patience can tell... So let the creative juices flow to our system...

WHITE LADY

Instead of wearing her trademark all-black ensemble Mom opted for an immaculately clean all-white number with a splash of light and dark browns for a change. Her whimsical Comme des Garcons deconstructed jacket was just perfect for the "fantasy" theme of Metrowear's Holiday Haute Couture shindig last night! After the presentation of the designer collections, Lola A willingly posed for my camera together with her favorite beckys in attendance!

AUTOMNE IN MANILA

Who doesn't love the sight of leaves freely moving on the ground? It reminds me of my fondest memories of my first trip to Europe - walking around Place des Vosges, window-shopping at the most chichi boutiques along Via Montenapoleone and sight-seeing in the historic Bruges. And of course I love the idea of layering during fall.
