PAINT THE TOWN ROUGE

Of course, a trip to San Francisco wouldn't be complete without a visit to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. The weather was perfect that day, though, a bit windy as usual. Thankfully, Lola A had her trusty long coat to keep her warm while exploring the lovely sights in NorCal's most scenic and most visited landmark!

COMFORT OVER STYLE

Without a doubt, Lola A favors comfort over style when traveling. Normally, she prepares her luggage several days before her departure to avoid leaving behind any of her travel essentials. Never cram at the eleventh hour. Otherwise, it's a disaster waiting to happen. 

Here are some tips from Lola A to have an awesome vacation:

1. Bring your comfiest sneakers or flats since most of the time you will be on your feet roaming around. Of course, nobody wants unpleasant dead toenails at the end of the trip.

2. Pack wrinkle-free ready-to-wear garments. You'd rather have that extra time recuperating from all the shopping and sightseeing.

3. Master the art of layering. This is quite handy when you are traveling to somewhere cold. Layer up or layer down depending on the temperature and the wind situation.

4. A roomy purse is a must for your beauty survival kit!

5. Take your favorite pair of sunnies with you. This will protect your eyes from harmful UV rays. It's also your best weapon to conceal those sleepless nights!

ABSTRACT

It's been awhile since we have seen any posts from Lola A. She has been extremely busy lately, hence, the absence of her OOTD posts. Anyway, in the next following posts, Lola A will be sharing her OOTDs during her recent trip to San Francisco and Los Angeles.

MELLOW YELLOW

Every once in awhile it's nice to break away from the predictable black and white ensembles that Lola A typically wears. Without a doubt this deconstructed knit and silk combo shift dress from Japanese label Toga Archives is a scene-stealer. Who knew Lola A can brighten up the quite empty SM Aura with this bright yellow garb!

STRAIGHT LINES

Everyone knows that Lola A loves her blacks and whites. But lately she has been gravitating towards colors like royal blue, mustard yellow and crimson red. And without a doubt these colors do look fabulous on her so we're not surprised she's expanding her color spectrum as far as her wardrobe is concerned. One of her current obsessions right now is this lovely 3.1 Phillip Lim striped jacket which JP got for her. Totally love the cool peplum effect on the waist. She paired it with her blue Phillip Lim 31 minute clutch that is quite the perfect size for your essentials. To complete her look, she slipped into her oddly-shaped metallic Margielas since it's more fun playing Lola Androgynous...

GOING TO CHURCH

English footwear company Church's was founded back in 1873 by Thomas Church and his three sons. It's longevity in the industry only proves it's unparalleled craftsmanship. No wonder men and women alike go gaga over their lust-worthy brogues! Looks like Lola A is going to be a devout Church-goer from now on after finding her perfect pair of patent black brogues from the acclaimed shoemaker!

LA CHEMISE BLANCHE

Lola A is currently obsessed with white button-downs. For her post-birthday lunch at Mamou Powerplant she wore this crisp and pristine white button-down from Comme des Garcons Shirt. Obviously another men's shirt but Lola A softens it up by wearing red YSL lipstick and her favorite Kelly handbag. Very simple yet uber chic! That's how Lola A rolls!
