INFLATED BALLOON

The unexpected pairing of this voluminous Paul & Joe LBD and the narrow Max Mara pencil-cut skirt is absolutely flawless. Notice how the Paul & Joe dress narrows down at the bottom creating an exaggerated balloon-effect. And the peplum at the end of the dress makes this lovely dress undeniably feminine.

BLACK HOLE

When you're in your sixties like Lola A, comfort matters more than anything. Taking that into consideration, Lola A makes it to a point to invest in pieces that are both comfortable and stylish. On the first day of the Superb Bazaar, she 

donned a black oversized dress so she can swiftly move like a bird. Coincidentally, it was also the start of Philippine Fashion Week. Anyway, Lola A's versatile dress is quite interesting. You can practically morph it into different looks. It's like buying several dresses for the price of one. All you need is some wild imagination and voila - a new creation! Absolutely a fantastic deal, right?

GRANNY GOOSE

Lola A finally found the ultimate grandpa cardigan thanks to Yohji Yamamoto's protege and daughter Limi Feu. It is the perfect combination of comfort and chic. Made from the finest and softest wool, it is Lola A's weapon of choice for those unexpected chilly evenings. Unlike most basic cardigans, this particular one has an extended back that somewhat resembles a tuxedo. Too bad there are no supplemental photos to attest to it. To achieve a tiered-effect Lola A wittily paired the quintessential grandpa cardi with her favorite Y's layered skirt courtesy of the lovely Monika Abad.

There's no better occasion to wear this lovely deconstructed blouse from Comme des Garcons than Easter Sunday! The details of the sleeves are absolutely stunning. And its light and airy fabric is perfect for the scorching heat this summer! You just need to be extra careful when wearing something as pristine and delicate as this gorgeous garment to avoid dreadful stain disasters! Just maintain your distance and you should be fine. A simple pair of trousers or skirt looks great with this top. Throw in some loafers or brogues to achieve a more androgynous look!

ARM CANDY

After two long months, Lola A finally got her covetable candy clutch from the Maison Martin Margiela x H&M collab. Special shout-out to my drop dead gorge friend Ella Bella from Stockholm for literally fist-fighting screaming blondes just to get a hold of this adorable clutch. This is actually a re-edition of the covetable candy clutch from the Spring Summer 2010 collection. Mom is also donning today two of her latest Yohji acquisitions - an oversized white button-down with intersecting collars from the Pour Homme collection and a pair of high-waisted baggy trousers from the Y's Red Label collection. I totally love the strong contrast of her masculine get-up and her feminine accessories. It just somehow works flawlessly and looks pretty spot on!
