I'M WELLWORTH IT

A few days ago Lola A accompanied JP at the Wellworth press tour. If you have not seen this new department store geared towards the entire family then better head out to Quezon City for a fabulous shopping experience brought to us by the joint venture between Stores Specialists Inc. and Ayala Lands. Lola A graced the event wearing an all-black ensemble with contrasting red lippy and red YSL purse. And of course, lets not forget about her lovely shorter "do" that's just perfect for this extremely hot summer.

GRANNY GOOSE

Lola A finally found the ultimate grandpa cardigan thanks to Yohji Yamamoto's protege and daughter Limi Feu. It is the perfect combination of comfort and chic. Made from the finest and softest wool, it is Lola A's weapon of choice for those unexpected chilly evenings. Unlike most basic cardigans, this particular one has an extended back that somewhat resembles a tuxedo. Too bad there are no supplemental photos to attest to it. To achieve a tiered-effect Lola A wittily paired the quintessential grandpa cardi with her favorite Y's layered skirt courtesy of the lovely Monika Abad.

BLACK AND WHITE AND A DASH OF RED

Both Lola A and I fell in love with this minimalist Jil Sander blouse circa Raf Simons era the moment we laid our eyes on it. It's like an updated baby-doll blouse but obviously modern and refined in silhouette. It took Lola A a few minutes to figure out what to pair it with. But when she finally tried it on with this quirky Giordano Ladies skirt-pants we instantly knew it was the one. It was like a match made in fashion heaven. And of course, these comfy Catalan sandals from Barcelona looked absolutely perfect with the entire ensemble.

DOUBLE-BREASTED

Mom borrowed my vintage navy blue Yves Saint Laurent double-breasted blazer last week. She wanted to replicate the oversized jacket look she saw on German Vogue I got her two years ago. We both adore German Vogue for its fierce editorials compared to the more commercial and mainstream editorials on American Vogue. Coincidentally, I got this vintage YSL jacket this summer when I was in Berlin. When I tried it on it fit me like a glove. And the gold YSL buttons make me look like a total baller and a bad-ass playa. So I had no choice but to swipe my plastic.
Doesn't Lola A look sharp in a men's jacket?
