Lola A finally found the ultimate grandpa cardigan thanks to Yohji Yamamoto's protege and daughter Limi Feu. It is the perfect combination of comfort and chic. Made from the finest and softest wool, it is Lola A's weapon of choice for those unexpected chilly evenings. Unlike most basic cardigans, this particular one has an extended back that somewhat resembles a tuxedo. Too bad there are no supplemental photos to attest to it. To achieve a tiered-effect Lola A wittily paired the quintessential grandpa cardi with her favorite Y's layered skirt courtesy of the lovely Monika Abad.

A TOUCH OF RED

Last Oct 24th my dear friend Jun Jun Ablaza celebrated his 18th birthday (etchos!) at Manila Polo Club. Apart from his debut (charing!) there was a photo exhibition featuring some of his museum-worthy creations!  The theme of the shindig was a touch of red. Since both my Mom and I hardly have any color in our closet it was quite a challenge to come up with an outfit. Thank God Mom has a fabulous YSL Cabas Chyc in rouge which I got last summer in Paris. It was the perfect match with her all-black ensemble!

Also, nice bumping into my Mom's amiga Linda Ley (in Rajo Laurel no less) who always look gorgeous! No wonder she's also on this year's Preview's Best Dressed! Again, happy birthday Jun Jun (in Steve De Leon, Rick Owens and Prada) and congrats to the success of the photo exhibit!
