GRANNY GOOSE

Lola A finally found the ultimate grandpa cardigan thanks to Yohji Yamamoto's protege and daughter Limi Feu. It is the perfect combination of comfort and chic. Made from the finest and softest wool, it is Lola A's weapon of choice for those unexpected chilly evenings. Unlike most basic cardigans, this particular one has an extended back that somewhat resembles a tuxedo. Too bad there are no supplemental photos to attest to it. To achieve a tiered-effect Lola A wittily paired the quintessential grandpa cardi with her favorite Y's layered skirt courtesy of the lovely Monika Abad.

SCULPTURAL

On the first day of PFW (Philippine Fashion Week), Lola A went all-black mixing different textures and proportions. I love how she incorporated her quirky Margiela tabi boots to her outfit. It's so unexpected and uber kawaii. I also like the strong contrast between her breathtakingly beautiful sculptural skirt reminiscent to Raf Simon's skirt for Christian Dior and her cropped blazer from 3.1 Phillip Lim with a dramatic architectural multi-tiered rear. Too bad there are no detail shots of both pieces.

SALMON PINK FOR MOTHER'S DAY

Today is Mother's Day! And Lola A shows her softer, feminine side by donning a fabulous salmon pink shift dress from Marni! Surprisingly, Lola A takes a break from her usual predictable black numbers and wears her heart on her sleeve this time. Aside from being a force to be reckoned with in the wardrobe department, Lola A is a devoted Mom to me and my two other siblings. Always prioritizing her family before anything else, indeed, she's a true embodiment of a Super Mom whom we are all proud to have in our lives!

RUBBERIZED

It was love at first the moment Lola A and I laid eyes on this gorgeous and rare vintage rubber tote from Thierry Mugler. I have no idea from which season it was but it's absolutely an objet d'art that is hard to ignore! It's the perfect combination of function and form and definitely a great conversation piece wherever you go! Its sleek and modern design makes it look very contemporary. This lovely arm candy has two steel bolts on the side for closure. It perfectly fits your hand so you can slip it effortlessly to grab your "kikay" essentials. Talk about ergonomics!

Lola A's minimalist blouse with billowing sleeves from Marni was the perfect match for her new tote. I love how it complements each other like milk and coffee.

ÜBERSIZED COLLAR

Lola A has finally found her perfect summer white shirt. This quirky Comme des Garcons from the 90s can be worn both as a top like how Lola A is rocking on these photos and as a skirt. Yes, you heard it right. It can be transformed into a skirt. It's unbelievable how Rei Kawakubo comes up with all these brilliant ideas. She's undeniably from another planet and thinks far beyond her contemporaries! No wonder Lola A is a huge fan of hers!

BLACK AND WHITE AND A DASH OF RED

Both Lola A and I fell in love with this minimalist Jil Sander blouse circa Raf Simons era the moment we laid our eyes on it. It's like an updated baby-doll blouse but obviously modern and refined in silhouette. It took Lola A a few minutes to figure out what to pair it with. But when she finally tried it on with this quirky Giordano Ladies skirt-pants we instantly knew it was the one. It was like a match made in fashion heaven. And of course, these comfy Catalan sandals from Barcelona looked absolutely perfect with the entire ensemble.
